What is Production Management?
-In my opinion production management means to organise a production team, be aware of the casting and talent, ensure that all content is on schedule and appropriate for the time slot etc.
Actual Roles Of A Production Manager:
-Lead the production team
-Organise the budget
-Create and stick to a schedule
-Organise paperwork e.g. release forms and contracts
-Negotiate the best deals for studios and other costs
-Be aware of all tech and channel info/specs that will be used.

-Not Knowing The Role
-Not Working with The Team

-Make a Schedule And Stick To It

-Check Tech Specs
-Collate Floor Plans, Lighting Plans etc
-Communication Is Key
When Filming On Location Consider....
-Wifi and Power Access
-Are There Any Sound Issues
-How Easy Is Access (for crew cars and cameras)
-What is the lighting going to be like
-Is there accommodation and food venues near by
-How much space do you have available
-Consider temperature, lighting, weather etc.
When Filming Abroad Consider....
-Baggage Allowance
-Sort Out "Carnet"
-Book Flights as far in advance as possible
-Organise Visas/permits as far in advance as possible
-Make the most of each day (time is money)
-If it is possible to RECCE, do so.
-Contact IFA (International Filming Advice) if BBC. If not BBC contact local embassy's for advice.

Dry Hire- No crew or set provided
Wet Hire- Basic set and crew provided
Consider cost of power and other necessities
Stick to allocated time schedule or costs will increase
